File Browser for Windows 10/8.1 is a lightweight software application designed specifically to help users browse their files in a clutter-free interface.
Simple looks
You are welcomed by a clean feature lineup that hides only a few configuration settings. You can change the looks of the utility by selecting between several color schemes, namely blue, red, orange and green.
The program offers support for several preset shortcuts that help you quickly access several locations from the user libraries, namely Videos, Pictures and Music.
File management options
File Browser for Windows 8 gives you the possibility to create a list with your favorite folders and display items as tiles or thumbnails. In addition, it reveals information about each file, such as filename, size and date when it last modified.
You are allowed to perform basic editing file tasks (cut, copy, paste, delete), refresh the list with items, create new folders, rename files, as well as pin directories to Start screen.
Only a few configuration settings are implemented for helping you ask for confirmation before deleting items and move the deleted files to the Recycle Bin or get rid of them permanently.
